Feel joy today by changing the way you think
We all go through our good days and bad days. A bad day is sometimes inevitable so cheer up and remember it happens to all of us. Even though you might not see the light at the end of the tunnel, a new day will come, and the sunshine will come back.
There are things that you can do to cheer yourself up when feeling under the weather.
- Listen to some cheerful music. Blast it as loud as you can and enjoy it. It will bring you back to life.
- Call or text someone, a good friend will remind you of how awesome you are!
- Go outside. Enjoy a walk, a jog, a hike, a bike ride, or whatever outdoor activity that makes you feel good. The sunshine will boost your energy and the fresh air will clear your head.
- Clean your space. Throw out anything that you don’t use anymore, organize your stuff and start fresh.
- Learn something new. It will keep your mind busy and occupied.
- Treat yourself. This is a good time to spoil yourself. Go shopping, bake a cake, watch a movie, go to your favorite restaurant, and focus on the present moment.
- Get off social media. Remember the stuff you see is not representative of the real world. They never show you what is going on behind the scenes.
- Listen to some stand-up comedy. Nothing like some humor to lighten things up.
- Dress nice. Sometimes we save our best clothes for the best occasions. Why not now?
- For every negative thought that pops into your mind, you must come up with five positive thoughts about yourself. No cheating!
Why do bad things always happen to me?

Nov 9 2020
Animals are natural healers. I have worked as a zootherapist (A.K.A. animal-assisted therapy, Pet therapy worker) for several years. My job consisted of training animals as well as constantly updating my knowledge on mental health and traveling from place to place to help people who suffer from mental illnesses, trauma and stress feel better. I often took records of my experiences out there in the field. Here are some of the wholesome moments that I recorded over the years.

How can we as a society live in peace with one another?
Nov 4 2020
Peace seems like a term that is so far away right now. The world’s problems may seem so overwhelming that we as individuals feel powerless. How can we as a society live in peace with one another? How can the injustices that happen all over the world stop? While protests are powerful tools, it isn’t enough. There is political chaos, there are people being treated unfairly, and the coronavirus is just pilling up on top of everything.

How to deal with stress efficiently
Jun 17 2020
Stressing out about things is in our nature. It is a condition that all species experience. It is partially responsible for our thriving and survival on this planet. If stress wasn’t part of our lives, we would be careless and fearless all the time. Our ancestors would have surely been eaten by wild animals if they didn’t experience alertness created by stress. Stress creates alertness, as we mentally prep ourselves to have to deal with the worse possible outcome of a situation.
